Minnesota Sings is a competition between cities throughout Minnesota open to 15-25 year-old amateur vocalists competing for their share of over $10,000 in prizes.
Each participating city puts on their own “Sings” event.
The winner AND runner-up of that event have the honor of representing their city at Minnesota Sings.
Lead volunteer Chuck Spavin will be calling cities to tell them about Minnesota Sings and invite them to participate. This year we only have capacity to accept 60 cities.
If you have any questions contact Chuck at 651-228-6979 or 800-765-3246. You can also call the show producer, Kelly Casey of Experience Shows- 612-202-0802.
Our 2016 Winner, Bella Huerta, was awarded First prize that included cash, a check for her favorite hometown charity AND a check for her sponsor PLUS a day of recording at the famed Garage Studios in Burnsville. You can see and HEAR the final results of that special day by following the links in the tool bar- Bella’s Recording Session.
CITY SINGS SPOTLIGHT- WABASHA, MINNESOTA
The Second Year of Wabasha Sings was well attended thanks to work done by the Wabasha-Kellogg Chamber of Commerce who was instrumental in making the event happen.
The Event was held as part of their Summer Celebration and the Sings event was held under the Bridge. Contestants were ready to go and the crowd was ready to hear them!
Five contestants each took their turn feeling the hometown support that will follow the two winners who will represent Wabasha at the State Competition this year. Cities of all sizes have singers that deserve to have a big stage- that’s what Minnesota Sings Does!
